Otakuthon 2011 Registration Policies

Please take a moment to read the convention rules and policies on our website or inside of the program booklet.  By registering, you agree to comply with Otakuthon's rules and policies.  Failure to follow the rules may result in loss of membership and expulsion from the convention grounds without refund.

1. Price and Payment

Registrations must be paid in full before the respective registration deadlines to benefit from the reduced rate. Any registration not paid or postmarked before the end of a registration period will lose the reduced rate or be cancelled.

Mail-in payments must be postmarked on or before the respective deadline and must be received no later than one week after the deadline. Otakuthon will not be responsible for any payments which are lost through mail.  Please do NOT send cash through the mail.

2. Badge Pickup

Badges will be available for pickup during Otakuthon 2011 registration hours at Palais des Congrès in the designated area. Badges will NOT be mailed or issued otherwise.

To pick up your badge, you will need a copy of your registration with a valid ID (ex:  hospital card, RCR card, birth certificate, etc.)  We will also accept any valid photo ID (ex: student card, Opus card, driver license, Medicare etc.) in the case you don't have the copy of your registration. Please be sure that your name in the registration system is correct, as it must match with this piece of ID.

Each attendee must pick up his/her own badge. Group payment leader cannot pick up badges for attendees in their group payment. Children under 12 must present a valid ID (ex: birth certificate, health insurance card, passport, etc.) as proof of age to pick up their badge.

3. Child Registration

Children under the age of 12 must be registered under and accompanied throughout the convention by an adult 18 of years old or older. A valid ID (ex: birth certificate, health insurance card, passport, etc.) is required for any child under 12 years old to register at the door as proof of age (may be waived at the discretion of the registration directors).

4. Lost Badges

Found badges may be claimed upon presentation of photo ID at registration. Lost badges will be replaced at a fee equal to the at-door registration rate.

5. Badge Policy

Badges must be worn and visible at all times, preferably facing forward and at chest height. Cosplayers may temporarily conceal them for the purpose of photos, but must keep their badge visible for the remainder of the time.

6. Refund Policy

Memberships are non-refundable. In the event you cannot attend, please contact the registration team as soon as possible to make alternate arrangements. Memberships may not be resold.

7. Information Accuracy

Attendees must provide complete and accurate registration information. Otakuthon will not be held responsible in the event that an attendee cannot be contacted with the provided information.
