SANTA COMPANY ~Secret of Christmas~

Synopsis

Eleven-year-old Noel is a girl who hates Christmas. Her parents are divorced, and her father, whom she lives with, is very busy with his job. She returns to her home in Yokohama with the depressing feeling that she will spend this year’s Christmas alone again, but then she discovers that a company called the “Santa Company” has somehow expanded to her area. Believe it or not, Santa Claus is a corporate employee. Noel is startled to see a large number of Santa Clauses fly past. Noel learns the various secrets behind Christmas. Inspired by other children of her age that she meets there, she decides to join the Santa Company. Noel discovers the importance of this work amidst the various challenges she faces—the company’s hiring exam, the adventure of delivering presents, and the battle against the fearsome Mukku that stand in her way.

About Kenji Itoso

Mentoring under Hayao Miyazaki in his teenage years, Kenji Itoso went on to leave his mark in such animated works and games as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Attack on Titan, Macross Delta The Movie Absolute Live!!!!!!! and Fire Force.

After working as the unit director for Satoshi Kon’s feature film, Dreaming Machine, he began production on Santa Company where he acted as both the director and producer.

Kenji Itoso continues to unveil work spanning a variety of genres, having directed videos for YOASOBI’s song, designing the official mascot for the Embassy of Finland and directing a famous TV anime series to air in 2024.

He also has a research side, serving as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and as a professor at Osaka Seikei University.
