Shota Nakama

Shota Nakama, born and raised in Okinawa, Japan, is a Boston-based music producer and the head of soundtrec, his music and live production company. He led the team to work on internationally acclaimed video games such as Final Fantasy and the hit anime series The Rising of the Shield Hero. In addition to the video game and anime works, Shota has worked with the legendary guitarist Jason Becker’s “Triumphant Heart” as the orchestra director and arranger and Graham Bonnett's timeless ballad "Suzy."

Shota is the driving force behind Video Game Orchestra (VGO), a live concert project combining symphonic rock and video game music. He currently produces the wildly successful Sonic Symphony, the official Sonic the Hedgehog concert, touring worldwide.
