MTL Host Club

The Montreal Host Club are the genre pioneers in Quebec and Canada, celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.

Adding their spin on the Japanese nightlife entertainment staple, the Hosts dress up and roleplay as “husbandos” (fan-favourite characters) to serve and entertain their lovely guests in fun thematic soirées. Their goal is to give the Guest a special moment with their favourite 2D characters brought to life in 3D.

The Host Club is a non-profit organization run by queer people and made up of a dozen members with diverse backgrounds, identities and origins. They create safe spaces where the geek community can party, and male character cosplayers perform at a level similar to maid cafes and idol groups.

Since its humble beginnings in a small convention, the Host Club of Montreal has grown significantly. From afternoon tea to happy hours and large balls, its members now offer many events, themes and series, both within conventions and private parties. They can be found at many festivals and bars in Québec.

NEON GARDEN PLAZA

New event, new concept!

Visit the Montreal Host Club’s NEON GARDEN PLAZA at the Chapiteau and enjoy an evening of cosplay, prizes, and fun!

For the first time at Otakuthon, the event will be open access. You will be able to wander freely from one activity to another! Test your abilities at our skill game counters, enjoy yourself on the dance floor, chat with friends and Hosts, immortalize your evening in pictures and more! In addition to the activities, our famous fan service menu will be available throughout the evening. You won't leave us empty-handed, I promise! Our game prizes include manga, wigs and ⅛ size figurines among other merchandise.
