Yume Mirai
Yume Mirai is a Japanese dance group which will be presenting several folkloric dances from across Japan. They will also be presenting Awa Odori, a dance from the island of Shikoku. Come see and participate in the Awa Odori Parade! |
athenaWaltz
Emerging from the underground J-rock scene in Montreal, athenaWaltz draws its inspiration from all sorts of subgenres in Japanese rock. Donning a "visual kei"-influenced style mixed with a unique and modern look, athenaWaltz rocks hard and provides an unforgettable concert experience to any J-music amateur. Though athenaWaltz enjoys creating original music, they also take on covers. From famous anime tunes, like “Ash like Snow” from the Brilliant Green, to J-Rock hits, like "Shunkashuutou" by Alice Nine, this band masters it all while infusing their own charismatic style. Shidokan Kendo and Iaido Club
"A true warrior has no confusion in his mind..." No Martial Art symbolizes the spirit of the warrior more than the arts of kendo and Iaido. Although the metal swords have been replaced by bamboo and wood, all other aspects of the Samurai Spirit live on in the practice of these martial arts. This intense training contributes greatly to self-development, builds up a strong character and clears the mind giving the students confidence to overcome daily undertakings with the utmost commitment. The main goal of the Shidokan Kendo and Iaido Club is to help students overcome their own limitations offering them the opportunity to experience an ancient Japanese tradition.
